Cookie and advertising notice
This notice explains essential infrastructure, optional measurement, affiliate attribution, and advertising technology used or planned by SmartRoot Korea.
Current essential infrastructure
Cloudflare may use necessary security and traffic-management technologies when delivering the site. Newsletter signup stores an email address, timestamp, and consent version in Cloudflare D1 or, on the NAS-hosted site during migration, a protected server file. It does not require an advertising cookie.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4 is configured but its script is loaded only after you allow optional analytics. Declining analytics leaves the guides and tools available. You can change your choice through Analytics preferences in the footer.
With permission, we measure page views, Web Vitals, newsletter signup completion, affiliate-link clicks, and planner result categories. We do not send newsletter email addresses, search terms, planner input values, or checklist contents in those events. Google advertising signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our analytics configuration.
Browser storage
Your analytics choice is stored under smartroot-analytics-consent-v1. Your completed travel checklist tasks are stored under smartroot-checklist-v1. Clearing browser storage removes those preferences and progress. Checklist progress is not synchronized between devices.
Affiliate attribution
SmartRoot Korea does not need to place an Airalo cookie before a link is clicked. After the reader follows an affiliate link, the provider or affiliate network may use cookies, click identifiers, referrer data, and similar technology under its own policy.
Google AdSense
An AdSense account meta tag and ads.txt are present for verification. Ad delivery is currently disabled in this deployment. Our optional analytics controls are not a Google-certified advertising CMP. Before advertising is activated, SmartRoot Korea must complete approval and configure the required advertising consent solution for the applicable regions.
Your choices
Browser controls can block or delete storage. Optional measurement and advertising choices will be presented where required, with rejection available as clearly as acceptance. Editorial content will remain accessible when optional storage is declined.
